Lifeboats
Rescuing lifeboat restores around 1% of ship health. Escort ship may collect lifeboats to restore their health as well.
Custom Escort Ship and Aircraft
When deploying aircraft from escort ship (through Extra Kit's custom escort ship feature), their kills don't count towards player score tally because the game views aircraft and ships deployed by them as friendly NPC instead of player owned.
Dynamic Difficulty
The game adjusts individual stage difficulty according to how many deployment points used by the player fleet. Higher deployment points may spawn additional bonus objectives, red transports and even high end enemies including superweapons and silly ships and aircraft that usually appears in postgame areas. When failing a stage, the difficulty will adjust accordingly and replaying the stage will reduce overall enemy strength
Rank and Class Pay
Additional mission completion class is rewarded depending on player rank and ship class used. Higher rank also increases penalty score from failing a stage.
In base Kurogane no Houkou 2 higher rank gives higher part sell price although this no longer applies in Extra Kit.
