Great Mazinger/Brain Condor weapon upgrade cost

Great Mazinger shares upgrades with Brain Condor, the unit it splits off to. Due to an oversight, Great Mazinger has a more expensive weapon upgrade tier, at 16k (520k total) compared to Brain Condor's 12k (465k total). Mazinger Z also has a desynced weapon upgrade cost, though it's not beneficial; Mazinger Z upgrades at 12k (465k total), while Jet Pilder is 16k (520k total).

Note that in order to even access a split-up unit's weapon upgrade screen, you must view its weapons under Unit Info in the intermission and press Square (this is not indicated in-game).

Unit/Pilot Terrains

Unit and Pilot terrain stats do not work. For units & pilot terrain, a rank of "A" is always used. Weapon terrains do work as displayed.

G-Bits crash

On Stage 35 (Moon) where the goal is to enter the Moon Cradle within seven turns, the Cradle is guarded by G-Bit enemy units, and if one is killed, two more will spawn. If player kills too many, more units than the game can handle will be spawned, causing the game to crash at the end of the stage.

Val Walo's exception

Using the Val Walo's MAP weapon on Stage 35 (Moon) will not cause a game over, despite the defeat condition forbidding MAPs.

VF-11 Valkyrie/Destroid Monster crash

When Macross characters put into these machines and an event attempts to make them transform, the game will crash. One stage where this can happen is Stage

Tifa Adil's temporary escape

In the intermission after stage 30, Tifa will appear and speak on Elche's condition. However, she is kidnapped as part of the storyline and should not be with the protagonists.

Too many parts

If you have 9 of a part and pick up more of that part from a container, various bugs will occur. Some of these bugs include pilots disappearing or being assigned the wrong unit resulting in a crash. The most common bug is Ryouma not being in the Getter Dragon for Stage 36. Also the bazaar may glitch up.

To avoid this bug, it's best to sell off excess of a part so you don't have nine of any specific part.

Kouji & Great Mazinger

If Kouji is piloting the Great Mazinger at the end of Scenario 29 - When You Play with a Woman's Heart, the game will crash during Scenario 36 - Shin Getter Robo Vs. MazinKaiser.

Bazaar price reset

On early revisions of the game, loading a save from the title screen will cause Bazaar prices to revert to a default value. These prices will be retained even if a fixed disc is used afterwards. The prices will be fixed at the next stage.

Boss healing skip quirk

If a boss that self-heals at certain HP thresholds is reduced from above it to 0HP, they will die without healing. While this has no adverse effects, in certain cases, they will still speak their lines for healing even though they've been destroyed.

Gundam Double X Beam Rifle Ammo (ENG Patched only)

The Gundam Double X comes with 32 shots of ammunition rather than 8 for its DX Buster Rifle. If the Tifa and G-Bit secret is obtained, the Rifle's extra ammunition will disappear and return to having only 8 shots.

Final Stage Easy Route Will Bug (ENG Patched only)

If you complete the next-to-last stage of the Easy Route (Scenario 42 - Distorted Future), by equipping your flagship with enough movement parts to get to the destination point without triggering Sanger's arrival, the game will bug up on the Final Scenario - Sleep, Within the Soil, where shooting down enemies will not add to any ally pilot's Will. Note that this only occurs on a game that has been patched with the Aeon Genesis English translation.
